24/7 Lighting

I have a timelapse to shoot continuously for 7 days which needs lighting as it is indoors and through the night. It is a small science experiment so will not need lots of light, but my concern is leaving lights on for that long. I have a couple of soft LED panels that I think would be best as the bulbs are unlikely to blow. Does anyone have any experience in this and wether LED panels would be OK left on for that long? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Could you get by with a CFL fixture behind an umbrella/diffuser? There's a lot less to fail, and at least the 100 watt equivalent ones are built to stay on for long periods of time.
