Best Camera To Use For Travel & Professional (Under £1000)

Director/Producer out of film school going on travels and making films, needs camera (can inc. lenses).
A camera that can also take photographs would be beneficial.
Record high quality sound (only for travel, this would not be used in professional film).
Not too much noise when filming without artificial light.
Underwater Casing?- look below

I was looking at Gopros as I do like that they provide casing for filming underwater but then I don't think you can get so much of a high res from them.

If you could help with any suggestions I would really appreciate it!

Thank you!

I would get a good camera for general shooting and a second camera for underwater work.

I would go for the sony mirrorless cameras like the sony alpha 5100, great video quality, small size, big sensor, xavc compression that give a very good size / quality ratio for video. you can put on it some old cheap lenses that will give you nice bokeh.
For the sound if you want great sound you have to buy an external mic but then it's more ennoying to carry around. You can also have a look on the new sony rx100 III and rx10 II that film in 4k.
