My first client asked that I open a youtube account for them. I mistakingly opened it under my name. I uploaded around 2 dozen videos for them and they have been linking them to display on their website. It's been a few years now and they are no longer my client. I gave them all of the video files but the website is still linked to my youtube channel. If I delete or move the video, their website will be missing all of it's videos.

I've tried to change the name of my youtube channel but it doesn't seem possible.

My question is: should I be receiving payment for retaining their videos on my youtube channel?

Should I try and change the Youtube channel name or ask the client to create their own channel?

I would co-ordinate with their web developer to move all of their videos to a new YouTube channel under their name. ( you might even suggest having their web developer do the new uploads, so all you will have to do is delete their old videos from your channel )

I'm with Guy, but I would add you are dumping their videos by (insert date). Then call to make sure they understand. Don't assume an email will cut it. Be firm, stand your ground, and you can do it without being a terd - you got this.
