Can I use watermarked green/blue screen footage?
I am working in a short film to later submit to festivals and screen, and need a green screen footage of a snake. I found a site which mentions that the watermarked footage is free to download. Can I use these video and key out the footage. Is that fair use?

Free to download does NOT mean free to use. Looking at their licensing section the lowest price they list is $520 US. I would try contacting the company to see if you can get a lower rate for film festival usage, and I would also mention to them that you will give them a big credit at the end of your film. You never know they might go for the promotional aspect of it.
