Could you suggest me a good editing laptop?

Hi everyone,

I am a journalist and I need to buy a laptop for video editing. I'm often on the move and I need to edit on the fly, that's why I need a laptop.
I prefer using Premiere and my budget is around 1500 euros (which would be around 1700$).
I have a Panasonic GH4 so I'd also like to use it sometimes at its full 4K potential, but mainly for short projects.
What would you suggest?
Thanks in advance

Because of the price and the lack of some connections I would net recommend the new MacBook Pro. But you could buy one of the last generation of 2015 which should have everything you will need including 4K edit capability, USB 3, Thunderbolt, HDMI etc. They also might be reduced in price because there is the new MacBook Pro with its Touchbar (which you cannot use anyway with Premiere Pro).
If you don't want to use a Mac there are some decent Notebooks from HP called ZBooks ( might be in your price range).

Ok, thanks a lot for your answer...I'll look a bit into one of the last 2015 Macs...that might be an idea.

In my opinion it comes to:
Premiere Pro always prefer a Windows system. You can get much power for less money and it will be faster than a macbook for render in premiere.

If you prefer a MAC system, FCPX definitely. The performance is insane and beats pretty much any other Win laptop using PP. The MacOS ecosystem is just unparalleled.

If you're looking for the best possible editing laptop, I'd check this out: . It's very portable and has an amazing 4K display!
