Device for having Dual Monitor Setup with a Laptop (HDMI ports) ???

I got two 24'' monitors that I would like to use for Video editing while connecting it with my laptop's HDMI port (each laptop with different displays for editing work). Would prefer if everything is done through HDMI ports.

On ebay I searched for many hours but only saw the DUMMY devices which can REPLICATE screen display but doesnt allow the allocation of different tasks to each monitor.

I dont know how much such devices cost though really short on budget so would prefer something reliable and low price.

Kindly help me in this matter.

This is usually a combination of hardware and software. Your hardware has to be able to support independent displays, and the video driver has to support multiple desktops. If your laptop is a brand name, I would contact the manufacturer or go on their support forums to see if anyone else that owns the same laptop has done this already.

If you want to be able to power 2 external displays and your laptops display at the same time you will need something like this, http://amzn.to/1JQAGQX . Don't cheap out on these as there is a chip (I don't remember its name) that you need to make it work. All you would need to do is plug your first monitor into your laptop and set that up as a secondary then plug in your 2nd monitor and set that as your tertiary then it should all work out ok.

Note that you will only need to do the secondary and tertiary setup once.
