DJI Ronin instead of Shoulder rig, tripod and slider?

I'm just starting out at film school but I want to do things right from the beginning. I was planning on buying a slider, shoulder rig, tripod and a follow focus. I have a Canon 5D Mark III and some L lenses (my father is a professional photographer)
But then I heard of the DJI Ronin. Is it worth the investment and is it able to replace a slider, shoulder rig and tripod?

It will not replace a tripod.
Try holding 14 pounds in your hands at eyelevel for 4 hours without moving it.

I have a MoVI: it is a great tool, but it isn't the holy grail for every shot or style. It's great for more dynamic styles and it gives a lot of freedom.
But I still use a slider when the shot needs it: you can infinitly repeat the same path. I still use tripods: not every shot gets better when the camera moves all over the place.
The same goes with shouldermounting a camera: it a different style that is very usefull in certain situations.

So, to anwser your question: if you think a Ronin will replace a tripod, slider and shouldermount it's not.
If you know it is not a replacement, but you want to focus on that style of shooting, it can be a good investment.
