Editing 4k Cine Raw files from external Hard Disk

Hi Guys,

I have some close to 3TB cine raw files shot on Phantom Flexs 1000fps. I want edit my footage from external hard drive with real-time playback by using black magic resolve lite. Dont have thunderbolt port or firewire 800 on borad want to know what other options would be idol for this of kind editing or which hard disk will be best?

Using i7 6core processor with 32GB ram on x79 mother board & gtx780 graphics card.


This is the best advise i can give you…..go and get a new thunderbolt card for your computer and then use it with a thunderbolt 3TB external drive, if you don`t have much money go and get one in ebay, you will thanks later when you are editing.

Make sure you check that your motherboard was designed to take a Thunderbolt add-on card, as not every PC motherboard can work properly with Thunderbolt. ( at some point I am going to have to replace my motherboard so I can start using Thunderbolt external drives )
