Exterior car suction solution...

Im planning on shooting a quick 20 second video tracking a cyclists wheels, i shoot with an A7s so need to have trust in the method i use...
Has anyone ever had experience with using suction cups and could anyone give any advice on DIY projects as i dont want to spend mega bucks on a suction i will only be using once!!

I've seen people do this type of shot by hanging a gimbal outside the window of a car, with their camera mounted on the gimbal that is smoothing out all of the motion. You might want to see if you can rent a camera gimbal.

I used Delkin Devices Fat Gecko Triple Mount with Canon 70D, battery grip, and 85mm L (that's a very heavy combo).

Got so comfortable never thought twice. There are pieces of those shots in my reel.

However! Due to camera shake I decided that going forward I will film car-mounted-camera type of shots only using chip point-and-click cameras because of the image stabilization options that they have.
