GH4 + Zeiss Compact Prime CP.2

I'm working on a commercial shoot in August, and am looking to do it using the Lumix GH4 (budget).

I'm just looking to find out what people think about shooting with the GH4 with M43 mount Zeiss Compact Primes? The other option is to use a Metabones Speedbooster and use our own Canon glass.

If you guys have any input on this I'd appreciate it!

I have shot a few times with the Zeiss CP lenses, and while they are good, I've never been blown away by them. If you already own Canon glass, then it's really a no-brainer to buy a Metabones Speedbooster for your GH4. ( there are two models to choose from now: the 0.71x version and the 0.64x version. The 0.64x version is supposed to be equivalent to shooting with a Super35 camera when used with the GH4. )

The only other lens that interests me right now are the new Veydra Mini Cine Primes for micro 4/3. These are cine primes designed specifically for cameras like the GH4, and they cost about one third of what the Zeiss CP lenses do. There have only been a few reviews published on the Veydra Cine Primes, but so far they appear to be the real deal.

Thanks Guy! I've already got the Metabones Speedbooster 0.71x, so I was just looking for input on the Zeiss CP lenses and whether or not they would make a meaningful enough change to merit using them.

Also, I bought the 0.71x version a few days before the 0.64x was announced, gutted! :D

Make your own decision and rent them. Adorama Rentals, Borrowed Lenses and Lens Rentals have the CP.2's and Speedboosters for reasonable daily and weekend rates.
Your eyes might love them, or not.
