Hackintosh i5 really worth?

Hi, I am assistant editor in Brazil in post-production studio.

I had an outdated PC for editing, and now, as I am working with MacOS environment, I became very curious about Hackintosh.

I took a look on the project's website, and I am very interesting to build an i5 editing hackintosh. I would bought a Macbook Pro If in Brazil the prices were fair (they are stab as we say). I did a simulation of this machine and would be like 40% the price of MacbookPro i5 here, so get into my budget.

But the main question is, I will have performance problems? Is there anything for a beginner on the market that I need to consider?

Ps.: Sorry for my English

I had macintosh almost my entire professional life, but now the mac are a little cheap and don't worth the sufering. Better a second hand mac.

Yeah, I knew. But those cheaper mac`s only in US and europe I think. In Brazil Apple had increased the prices 20~25%, more the increase inflation and taxes, a macbookpro is the triple price over the US macbookpro. But thanks, maybe a second hand mac are a great idea.
