HDMI Monitor

So I just got a GX8 and before even using it once, dropped my camera bag from about half a foot high, and the screen broke. It still works a part from the screen, but I'd like to see something when recording video, so I'm looking for a cheap HDMI monitor (around $100).

Anyone have any suggestions?

The cheapest monitor that is any good for video work is the FeelWorld 759 monitor, that sells for about $140 US with shipping.

You will have to buy a Sony L style rechargeable battery to power this monitor, which start at about $16 US with charger. ( this is a generic battery NOT a Sony made battery )

You can buy bigger batteries like the NP-F770 or NP-F970. The F550 will power the monitor for about 1 hour. The F770 will power the monitor for about 2.5 hours. The F970 will power the monitor for about 6 hours.

The FW759 is a decent monitor and probably the best in that price range. As expected with that price, the build quality is extremely flimsy - worth keeping in mind. For $100 you get a $100 worth of product.

It's above your budget, but a SmallHD AC7 would have survived that drop: it's pretty rugged.
