How to create a SILHOUETTE?

I want to create a silhouette exactly like this - http://vimeo.com/82920243

This is a zero budget short film so please don't refer to expensive equipment.

I'd like to know how to achieve this either through lighting or just editing it out after shooting. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that was achieved in two different shots by masking in AE.

Yo do this by having the background being significantly brighter than the subject.

Last time I did this was about ten days ago, first 10 sec of this :

It’s a combination of lighting the background brighter than the subject and then manually setting your exposure down until the subject is black. Experiment with the brightness of your background and your exposure setting until you get the balance and the look that you’re going for.

Yes, like Alex say, there will be a lot of different in light, background from subject.

Yeah the Background brigher and then the Subject dark or even black. :) Just try out some light setups and play with the exposure.
