How to shoot in a crowded plqces without being intimidated?

I do not feel confident when I go out to shoot in crowded place because I fear of being intimidated by the notion that what people might feel about me . People might think as if I am a stupid who is just making nonsense and wasting time. Whereas it's my life and career in the process of being born out of sheer serious approach to filmmaking .
So how should I cope with this emotion of shooting at different location sometimes even in crowded place.

I saw David Fincher shooting Gone Girl, and there was always a crowd around watching. But he was so focused on the task at hand I don't think he saw anyone (or anything) except for his vision for that particular scene.

Most of the time ppl aren't thinking negative about you, their more curious about what your doing and trying to gather their thoughts on how to approach you to become part of it!

You just keep doing it again again -- while being scared and intimidated -- until one day the fear is gone.

Oh, and don't forget to lift ;)
