How would I go about filming at a local amusement/water park?

About a quarter of the feature that I'm writing is based at a water park. I would need to film people going on rides, playing games, etc. Just normal activities people do when they go to parks. Would I need permits? How would I go about this?

Talk to the owners. If it's public, you may be able to get away without asking the city, but if it's a very prominent park, they likely have rules against commercial filming. Also, if you decide to sneak in anyways, if anyone could be identifiable on camera, they must give permission. The safest way is a release form. Large masses of people are fine, but that wraps back to getting permission, because you'd better have a good reason when an angry dad wants to know why you're filming his kids in bathing suits.
