iMac specs to cut GH4's 4K in Premiere?

Hi guys,

Anyone editing GH4's 4K footage natively with Premiere on a iMac?

I'm investing in a new 27'' iMac soon and as much as I would like to just max out all the specs, choices will have to be made.

My question is - from the following - what is the most crucial upgrade(s)?
Processor: i5 (3.2GHz) - vs - i7 (4.0GHz)
RAM: 16 GB - vs - 32 GB
Storage: 1 TB Fusion Drive - vs - 256 GB SSD drive
Graphics (no upgrade option): AMD Radeon R9 M390 (2 GB)

I would prioritize:

1. GPU (really need 2GB GPU)
2. CPU (4.0 GHz is nice-to-have, 3.2GHz is adequate)
3. RAM (16GB is adequate, 32GB is nice to have)
4. Storage (Fusion drive is fine--GH4 4k is not very heavy on the IO)

I'm in the same boat. As soon as Apple releases the new iMac's I'll be upgrading.

Get the i7 not the i5, not because off the Ghz but because it can run more threads concurrently.

Buy the lowest amount of RAM that Apple offers and purchase more yourself. It's the only thing you can upgrade on the iMac. Apple charges $600 for 32GB, Amazon $160.

Get the biggest SSD you can afford, then use external Thunderbolt (or USB3) drives if you need to store less used items. The Fusion drives are nice but I can tell when my iMac has to pull something off the HDD. The SSD in my MacBook just flies and makes everything faster.

Thanks Josh, in my case I can't wait much longer, so these tips will come in handy soon.
