Looking for a under 10k camera kit

Hey guys.

A friend of mine is looking into buying a full camera kit for mainly narrative short films, also some music videos and promo work.
He seems to have hit a dead with narrowing down his choices, right now the choices seem to be either the Sony a7s, Panasonic Gh4, Sony FS700 or the Blackmagic 4k (Unfortunately cant wait until the URSA is being shippied).
The budget will have to include camera, glass, rig and everything required to get the camera functional.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So you're good for tripods, sliders, gimbals, lighting gear, audio gear, etc... ?

If I was going to invest 10K in a camera right now I would most likely go for the Sony FS7. It produces a great detailed 4K image, it has dynamic range that's pretty much equivalent to the Blackmagic 4K cameras ( the Ursa Mini 4.6K might be a little better, but I think we have to wait until the Ursa Mini is shipping to compare ), it can handle high frame rates for slow motion, and it's a good fit for shoulder mount shooting. I know this would mean skimping on lenses to stay within your 10K budget, but you are likely going to have this camera for a few years, so you really want to buy the best you can afford right now.

Go with Sony FS7. I rented it for a few days loved it. Not for the stuff I do, but excellent camera for big docs and narrative in 10k range.
