Motorized slider under $1000? slide & pan

Hi

We have an upcoming project including 6 timelapses where we need a motorized slider with a head that can rotate. An example is where the slider is going up & down (or side to side) and the camera takes shots of a statue's face. The face is centered in the frame throughout the shot.

We have a strong incentive to buy, not rent

Is there such a slider on the market for less than $1k? Thanks

Under $1k is tough. What camera are you using? Weight capacity will effect the camera you can use. The eMotimo system comes with a Rhino slider and is a solid 3-axis system, but it's $1800. Do you already have a slider that you can just add motion control to?

Ditto the comment above. The Dynamic Perception stage zero 3-axis system is about $1,600. You could also build a 2-axis system for $1,200. http://www.dynamicperception.com/Stage-Zero-Dolly-System-s/1819.htm

These guys were featured on nofilmschool earlier this year - it may only have one axis of movement (linear), but you can rotate the head it would appear:

If your camera is not heavier than 550g then this slider can even climb vertically while rotating head at $99
