I have a Nikon D5200 and is thinking of buying new lenses. I currently just have its 18-55 kit lens. What lens should I buy?
What do you like to shoot ?

Mostly documentaries, some commercials and short films. I occasionally use my camera for photography as well though.

If you're starting with a lens kit you can go anywhere! Personally I shoot on all vintage lenses. They're affordable and produce great varying aesthetics. Really good if you want to experiment and get a handle on manual focus. You can build up some serious skills, and your friends will be jealous that you can build a 5-10 lens kit with the same money you can buy just one superb cinema lens. I shoot on the Canon 7D, but most lenses can be adapted for any camera these days. Go forth and conquer!

Personally, my first next-lens was a 50mm 1.8. Great for getting shallow depth of field on interviews, and it really teaches you to zoom with your feet. After that, a fast zoom (for me, Tamron 17-50mm 2.8) will completely replace that kit lens and be much better in low light, while giving you some control over depth of field. After that, I picked up a Rokinon 85mm 1.4, which is gorgeous on my B-cam during interviews, and really not very expensive (I think I paid less than $200 used).
The first of those two will have autofocus for taking stills, which can be pretty handy.
