Night vision/IR cameras

Hello, I am doing some filming in total darkness (ghost hunting TV series) and would be glad to get any recommendations on night vision/IR cameras. I can find highly expensive fully professional ($20k + cameras) and super cheap camcorders on Amazon ($100). The $20k are too much [even renting] and the $100 camcorders only do 15fps at HD 1080p. I have spent a long time looking but can't find anything in between - does anyone know of anything? I know about the A7S etc but we are not talking about low light here - it is completely black, like your eyes are closes, so it is really IR cameras needed.
Thanks

Canon XA10 and to boost the IR you can get a LED IR camera light: https://www.ebay.com/i/322691905212?chn=ps

I used this camera in my short film Dead Static, it has both white and green IR modes. I've used it in complete darkness with the above mentioned LED IR booster and works great. There are new models of this camera now though like the Canon XA30 that improves the IR. Here is the short film if you want example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4qNlwiyGU0

Have a look at the Panasonic EVA1, which has an IR mode I believe. (and dual native ISO)
