Yeah, Guy have right. The normal people don't understand the promotion part. Is better that the part of promotion be inside of postproduction and you "sell" the idea in indigo or kickstart that you need for finish the project (no the movie). That you can do it with lies.

You can try, but crowd-funding platforms are really geared at making or finishing a film.
People are less inclined to give you money when the film is already complete.
I would try and find a company or organization that might sponsor your film or co-promote your film with their products or services.
