RODELink Best Settings

Hi guys, just a quick question here. I purchased the RØDELink Wireless Audio System Filmmaker kit (wireless lav setup) and was looking for some input on what settings are best (and why, if you have the time to explain). I am competent about the basics of audio engineering and have had success with external mics with video before. Also, I am shooting with a Canon 70D and plugging in directly to the audio input on the camera. I also plan to do some post-production work in Logic Pro X if necessary.

I found one source that recommended setting the transmitter to +20 db and the receiver to -10 db. Also, the camera's audio to "one or two clicks above zero" (I understand basically bypassing the camera's driver and avoiding DSLR hiss, etc.).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much!

I don't know a lot about audio, but wouldn't setting +20 on the transmitter and -10 on the receiver kind of cancel each other out and be the same as setting +10 on the transmitter?

On my Rode wireless +10 on the transmitter is plenty. +20 seems way too much.

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, +20 is way overkill (unless I'm picking up whispers). So I think it's just an initial setting preference that was recommended.
