Shooting in Haste

Hello friends, I have a quick question on shooting videos. Sometimes we go to places where people are shy to be filmed (India, Arab world and so on). Also there are times and situations that are not favourable for shooting (like train station, a funeral, restaurant, riot, storm etc). I mean situations where we are not setting up the scenes and situations that are loaded with haste and confusion. We won’t have that much time to set the gears, lights or even audio in proportion.
Can anyone kindly suggest some useful pointers, some MUSTs for a good shot. For example in such situations do I keep the light in mind or the composition or the gears?
At least some basic to-dos for good shoot.
Regards.

Practice! Over time, when you do a lot of shooting, these concerns become instinct and you get much, much faster at them. Shoot as often as you can and you'll see!
