Smartphone filmmaking

What smartphone to buy to have the best video results?
Hello everyone. I will buy a new smartphone this festive season and I want the one with the best camera and video features. From what I've seen the Iphone 7 and the Samsung galaxy s7 seem to be the best, but I'm still not able to understand which one is better. There is a lot of diferent opinions. If you could help me with this I would be very thankfull, kind regards.

From the footage I've played with, I would put my money on the iPhone 7 because it has a better internal stabilizer. Getting smooth shots is my main concern when shooting with a phone.

One thing that's kind of annoying right now is that the new DJI Mobile smart-phone gimbal does not play nice with the iPhone 7 internal stabilizer, so I am hoping that DJI is able to fix this over the next few months. Both are good stabilizers on their own, but I would expect even better results if you could get the two systems to work together. ( also the DJI Mobile can't quite deal with the weight of the iPhone 7 Plus )

Thank you Guy, I am also thinking of buying the dji osmo mobile or other smartphone gimbal. stability it's important of course but my main concern is image quality, noise, color, etc.

I'm an iPhone fan and started shooting video on the 5 or 5s, can't remember. I just recently got the 7+ and I love the dual cameras. You can get a wide & a close up without having to move & some slight bokeh. I'm not sure about androids but I know the apps available for iPhone are plentiful & many are very, very, good.

filmic pro app, borned under ios, now avaible also under android, start from this to have a great shooting movie quality.
to me best is ios tools be cause app are more developed for filmaking than android, i had z5 sony and iphone, under android i not found enought pay app to sell iphone. S7 and ip7 are excellent sensor, but app for filmic give you difference.
On ios you ever grow, all app bought work ever fine when you will buy next, under android are too much linked to brand customization of android, where under samsung give you raw photo, but not under sony, under sony you have better hdr, but not raw photo, or accessibility to 23mpx from external app.
Many hardware developer like rode develope some tools like xlr adapter and more for ios, less for android due too much case structure where connect tools.
Android could be better, but ios give you app, stability, long story of filmaking developing, i tell you ios...
about stabilizer you can disable it and you can use dji solution or other if you want a "doom" vision, but if you are interest to filmaking try to understand the camera motion language, and forget this kind of technicism.
