Is there a good website where I should go to buy used gear?
I'm in the market for a camera but I would be okay with something not new or cutting edge, and I realized there's gotta be a ton of filmmakers with older cameras they've since replaced or whatever that they would be interested in selling. Nothing seemed to stick out when I googled so I thought I'd check here in case there was a place I don't know about. Thanks!

You could check B&H, Adorama, Amazon and Ebay.

I've bought used from all of these places and have found really great deals. By far the best is B&H, I've bought "used" items from them that were effectively brand new. My last purchase was a Tascam recorder, all the accessories were sealed and the recorder still had the plastic film over the LCD.

keh.com is reliable.
Borrow Lenses sells used gear too (but I'd probably stay away from lenses with IS from them because of all the vibration from constant shipping they've endured).

What's your budget ?
What do you want to shoot ?
There are a ton of second hand cameras out there, but each one has it's own unique drawbacks compared to a new camera, so you really need to know what might be a good fit for what you want to create.

Of course, use discretion, but Craigslist is home to a lot of gear too, especially if you're in an urban area. Shucks, if you're anywhere stateside outside of Wyoming and the Dakotas, you should be okay.

For anything in used photo gear, you can't bet KEH. Their only drawback is they do not deal in professional video directly. But for photo lenses, DSLR's, and mirrorless, they would be my first stop.
