Turn old color slides into a film

I'm looking for suggestions for transforming
still photos into a film/video. I've been
a pro and amateur photographer for more than
50 years, and published author. Many
of my best shots are color slides never published, an Americana selection from the 60s/70s. And I'd like to shape them into a
film. How do people do it? With autobiographical voiceover? Themed sections? Interview? My instinct is to start with a color short. Any thoughts?

I know a guy that did something similar with post cards. He had different characters add voice-overs and filmed some transitional/cover sections on Super-8.

Instead of planning this from a blank slate you could defer the question of delivery by first getting the technicals out of the way.

You would need to scan the slides, name them and do basic color correction.
Then you would want to organize the material.

Once that is done you may develop some great ideas on how to deliver it to an audience.

Ok, cool… I do have many shots scanned. Being a computer klutz, I just
figured out how to make an album on iPhoto, which will allow me to see/shape
a story line/storyboard…it's a start! Thanks!

I have 2 google suggestions:
- Ken Burns
- how to add parallax effect to pictures in after effects

(Sorry, I am very busy with a few deadlines now, so I have to keep it short while the computer is almost done rendering a preview :p )
