Let me start by saying I've been a multiple time NFSer for years now. And have tried to be a positive and encouraging part of the NFS community.

I gotta say, since this site rebrand, I've noticed far more issues being introduced, I believe it's damaging our community.

1. The voting system is broken, nobody is happy with it. Solution: remove it, or make it more conducive to conversation and uplifting other members discussion.

2. I've had comments go "into moderation" and not be approved if I questioned a valid point in the post. Isn't the point of this site to talk and ask questions? Solution: don't censor comments from vetted members.

3. Several posts are seemingly regurgitated from other sites (FilmmakerIQ, CheesyCam, etc) without credit. NFS used to be the site everyone else copied, the tables have turned. Solution: return to become the powerhouse NFS used to be, original content, thoughtful posts. Otherwise, we may as well visit the original poster's site... right?

Anyhow, I'll still check in here, I love NFS, but seems like it's in the teenage years of being that snotty rebellious kid you ignore til they grow up a bit. I'd be content moving back to the way it was a few months ago. IMHO.

Thanks for your feedback, Jordan.

1/2: our voting/commenting systems have issues. We're working to fix them.
3: we ALWAYS credit source materials, usually with a link in the post as well as a Via or Source designation at the end of the article. Many others do not. Can you point me in the direction of an article where we didn't credit someone? If we're doing it, it is unintentional and that is something we will remedy as well.

We are indeed in our teenage years. I hope we're not snotty. We're about to do some serious maturing, though! Stay tuned and thanks for your thoughts.

Way too many advertisements. Including popovers. Just want to cancel the newsletter subscription and not come back. Leaving after many years.
