Canon has officially set a date for what will most likely be the announcement of its highly-anticipated, and talked about, EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras. The virtual product launch will be held on July 9th at 8AM EST. So be sure to bookmark this page and grab a cup of joe.

The EOS R5 and EOS R6 are set to be Canon's latest full-frame mirrorless cameras, and a number of specs on the EOS R5 have already been confirmed by Canon, including a full-frame sensor that will record 8K RAW as well as internal 4K 10-bit 4:2:2. It will also be Canon's first camera with in-body image stabilization and is expected to work alongside the optical stabilization found on the RF and EF lenses.

Speaking of lenses, it's also been rumored Canon could be announcing several new focal lengths along with the cameras. This seems more apparent than ever based on the speakers schedule for virtual event. Peter McKinnon, Lindsay Adler, and Sal Cincotta are among eight different creators to join the event.

Besides the virtual product launch, Canon will be hosting a Canon Creator Lab later that evening at 8PM ET with photographers Atiba Jefferson, Irene Rudnyk, Scott Bakken, and Jonathan Zoeteman. You can sign up for the free event here.

For now, the wait is only days away.
