Although you still have to wait until the summer of 2020 for the latest "new" film from director Christopher Nolan, you will soon receive the opportunity to revisit his most popular trillogy—that of The Dark Knight—in theaters this spring.

All three films (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises) will be screening in 70mm IMAX at select dates this upcoming season, beginning with Hollywood's Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk on March 30th (that will come exclusively with a Nolan in-person Q&A between parts two and three). From there, New York City will host a trilogy screening on April 13th at the AMC Lincoln Square and San Francisco will get one on that day as well at the AMC Metreon..

Why are all of these mega trilogy screenings taking place now? It's all to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the creation of the Batman character. More festivities are sure to be arriving in the following months and, Tim Burton's films be damned, what better way to celebrate than with viewing the best screen adaptations on the largest screens imaginable?

After all, Nolan is a rather adamant, vocal supporter of large-screen entertainment, so his Batman films, often shot in part with IMAX cameras, should be seen big and proud. At over eight hours in total length, a ticket to the trilogy may be an experience you won't soon forget (or receive again).

Tickets go on sale for all screenings tomorrow at 12pm EST.
