We all know production can be stressful and anxiety-inducing. There's a strict schedule, limited time, budgetary woes, and a constant flurry of people coming in and going all in the interest of fulfilling a specific purpose. There are so many moving parts that it can be hard to keep track of who's doing what and what goes where.

You probably wouldn't expect someone as seemingly calm and meditative as director David Lynch to experience stress on a shoot, but we all have our increasingly high boiling points.

Uncovered a year ago and uploaded to Youtube, footage of Lynch, arguing and smoking multiple packs of cigarettes, has been released arguing with his producers over time constraints on the set of Showtime's Twin Peaks: The Return. His fears are understandable: you can't force inspiration and creativity to come to you, and yet, you're often faced with the very real challenge that you must. "You have the weekend," a voice off-camera remarks regarding the amount of time Lynch has to come up with something assumingly brilliant. And then there's a complication with an actor's schedule. And then there's the issue of soundstages.

As the final "product" can attest, erything turned out well in the end, but it wasn't all dreamy, mood-inducing smooth sailing. Check out the clip of Lynch below.
