According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel's Eternals won't play in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, or Qatar.

The rumored reason for the switch is that Marvel and Disney refused to make any of the edits the local censors asked for, which included taking out the LGBTQ+ storylines of the movie, particularly when the character Phaston (Brian Tyree Henry) and his on-screen husband Ben (Haaz Sleiman) share a kiss.

While there has been no official statement, the movie has been taken off the premiere websites for each of those countries. And being openly gay is still illegal in much of the region.

Directed by Chloé ZhaoEternals stars Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. It is due for release on Nov. 5 in the United States and across the world.
