One of my least favorite things to do is pitch an idea to producers. I can see the project so clearly in my mind but it's hard to vocalize the images and story so that other people get as enthusiastic as I am about the project.

Well, now there is a free course being offered where producers will explain to you how they want to hear it.

That will definitely clear things up for me!

It's a free webinar for writers of all levels who want to learn how to pitch their screenplays to producers. In this event, a panel of Hollywood film producers will help you learn how to identify producers who are most likely to like your screenplay, connect with them even if you don't have an agent or a manager, and determine the best way to contact them.

As if that was not enough, the real throughline will be learning how to develop a winning pitch and write a marketable screenplay.

Again, this is all FREE, which makes me happy I get to write about it here.

Who's on the panel?

  • Barbara Fisher (Executive Vice President, Scripted Content, Reel One Entertainment)
  • Lorenzo Nardini (Manager, Development and Production, Motion Picture Corporation of America)
  • Cas Sigers-Beedles (Writer/Producer, Nina Holiday Entertainment)
  • Beth Miller (Independent Producer)
  • [Additional Panelists TBA]

The whole thing will be moderated by Gary Goldstein, who is a writer for film, TV, and stage. He has written more than 15 produced telefilms, several theatrical and streaming features, and many produced stage plays. Goldstein has also sold or optioned numerous TV pilots and screenplays.

The webinar takes place on Dec. 3, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. PST.

So if this sounds like a fun time, I recommend you sign up!
