Sharpen up your trailer cutting skills, because Adobe is announcing a new competition.
In league with Paramount Pictures, the #CreateYourFate campaign will give fans the opportunity to recut their own trailer to the upcoming Tim Miller-directed film, Terminator: Dark Fate, starring Linda Hamilton, MacKenzie Davis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The winner receives $10,000 and a year subscription to Creative Cloud. But there's more.
Getting started is pretty straight forward.
Download the asset kits and creative brief from the competition's website. The assets include not only exclusive footage from Terminator: Dark Fate but also audio clips, motion graphics templates, and a collection of Adobe Stock assets. Users are required to use either Premiere Pro, or Premiere Rush to cut their trailers.

And if you aren't a Creative Cloud member currently, Adobe is also providing a 1-month free membership to the Creative Cloud service to help put together your entry into the Remix Challenge. Entrants must be 18 years or older to qualify for the free account. If you're not 18, you can download and use Adobe's mobile-centric Premiere Rush editing app. And Adobe welcomes younger entrants because they are also featuring a Young Creator award (see below).
Adobe provides the assets, but what you do with them is up to you. Remix the trailer in your own style and then upload it to the Create Your Fate Website, sharing your trailer on social media with the hashtag #CreateYourFate. There will be three tiers of prizes including a Grand Prize, Runners Up, and a special Young Creator Winner. The Grand prize winner will receive $10,000, a one-year Adobe Creative Cloud membership, showcasing of your reel at Adobe MAX, and the real kicker, a private screening of Terminator: Dark Fate for you and 50 of your closest friends. Two Runners Up will each receive a $1,000 cash prize, a Creative Cloud membership, and a chance to showcase your reel at Adobe MAX. The Young Creator award will be $2,000 in cash, a Creative Cloud Membership, and a 1-on-1 virtual consultation with Adobe's Creative Director, plus the showcasing opportunity.
