Long considered a film maudit (that is, a cursed film project), expert filmmaker Terry Gilliam's (BrazilThe Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) The Man Who Killed Don Quixote was for many years thought unreleasable (or even unmakeable).

The 2002 documentary Lost in La Mancha details the painstaking process Gilliam took to get his long-gestating project off the ground. When he finally did, production woes hit him like a ton of bricks; the film was never completed.

That is, until now. Starring Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce, this broad comedy of sorts (that was presented as the Closing Night film of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival) has been completed and is headed to theaters....in a way. Presented as a Fathom Event, the film will be screening across the United States for one showtime only (primarily 7pm) on Wednesday, April 10th. That's right, you'll only have one chance to catch the film before it disappears back into the legends it sprung from.

Equally adventurous and challenging, Gilliam is a filmmaker who could use a hit, be that critically or commercially. Could this be the film that provides it?
