Fresh off his Academy Award win for writing the original screenplay for 2017'sGet Out, Jordan Peele has two projects arriving this spring that should get horror aficionados excitedly out and about. One is US, the director's sophomore directorial effort set to hit theaters this March, and the second is a reboot of Rod Serling's hit anthology television series, The Twilight Zone.

The teaser trailer for The Twilight Zone arrived last night during CBS' airing of the Super Bowl, and the TV spot was themed appropriately to the big game. As Peele provides an ominous, entrancing voiceover, we view what appears to be an inspirational football commercial. That quickly turns sour as things go a little off and we realize we're in another dimension....yes, one that eerily resembles The Twilight Zone.

Peele (and his Monkeypaw Productions) and The Twilight Zone feels like an appropriate pairing that's almost too good to be true. And yet, we need not wait long for the brand new series to arrive.

The series is set to air on CBS beginning April 1st, 2019.
