100% true re: FCC. I spoke directly with Amimom, the manufacturer of the boards for all the wireless gear in the industry, at NAB about it. Only Teradek, Arri, and Swit feature not only FCC-compliance, but their latest boards. Everything else is 3+ year old tech being "boosted" after-market. It's a $10,000 fine, and while owner operators very likely won't get hit, a rental house might. Stick with Teradek.
