Andrew Wilner, MD
Dr. Wilner is a neurologist with a lifelong interest in marine science. As a student he worked at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, Woods Hole, MA, and the Marine Biological Laboratories, Woods Hole, MA. During his medical residency, he participated in fish brain research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, La Jolla, CA. During that time, he was able to experience scuba diving in La Jolla Cove and photograph Garibaldi with a Nikonos II camera at Catalina Island. He now enjoys making short films about underwater life, mostly in Southeast Asia. He has contributed many underwater videos to the Australian Museum Fish Identification website. His short film, "I got my C-Card in Paradise," won first prize in the 2012 Australasia Film Festival in the still camera video category. Current videos are on www.vimeo.com/andrewwilner.
