I have a Canon 70D, 60D and a Panasonic m43 camera. I agree, the 70D has outstanding auto-focus system. Magic Lantern firmware is higly recommeded for Canon DSLRs (at this moment, it is not yet ready for 70D), it boosts video capabilities, and bypasses the recording time limit. The Panasonic cameras are also very good, if you use them with very old and cheap manual Canon FD lenses, you can get very cinematic results. My favorites are the Canon FD 50 f1.4, the Canon FD 85 f1.2 (not so cheap) and the Canon FD 35-105 f3.5 lenses, they have great IQ and nice bokeh. If you shoot in low light, these fast lenses are very useful.
