This looks good! Is there anyway to see these Cannes flicks after? Assuming most of them aren't getting large theatrical releases?
I feel the same way. So much of David Fincher's films are only ever attributed to Fincher himself. No doubt Fincher has a large influence in hows it's shot but exactly how you put it, Cronenweth doesn't have as much of a cult interest in his films compared to Chivo or Deakins.
A good story has interesting characters, regardless whether they are likeable or not.
"There Will Be Blood", "The Wolf of Wall Street" (basically a good percentage of Scorsese films), "The Godfather", "A Clockwork Orange", "The Social Network" or "House of Cards" all have main characters with very unlikeable behaviours. We enjoy watching them because they are interesting.
Thanks!
