Nicholas Buggs is an Executive and Advisory Producer specializing in independent films. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering where he also studied Communications, Management of Technology, and Mathematics.
This is really a thoughtful evaluation supported by concrete evidence of each of the target providers. You do a good job of demonstrating what you get for what you pay and writers can decide for themselves if any of these services are worth this kind of input into their works. What I am interested in knowing is whether or not these services are truly critical enough of scripts that need extra work or if the glowing praise of the pros dilutes the weight of the cons. If writers are truly going to advance in their art, they need straight talk. Unfortunately, a paid coverage model doesn't benefit from making its customers mad.
What is most interesting about this data is that it is unverifiable. This begs the question as to why Netflix decided to release it.
