It's just a matter of having full frame sensor and not being able to use it. I'm not saying the quality won't be good. You just physically can't achieve the same kind of look (with the same lenses) without being able to sample the full sensor. That and field of view. It's just more useful.
So close. I'd jump on it so I could stay on Canon.... if it didn't crop in on 4K. There is no full frame recording in 4K unfortunately it seems. Sad. I hope the next gen comes soon and includes this or that they fix it with a firmware update.
Hey author, your Apple hate is shining through this thin conjecture. Here's so actual info on what happened: https://twitter.com/kschluter60/status/893057501368897536
I was going to mention trimming the beginning or ending of a clip to the playhead, but the shortcuts are Option+[ and Option+]. At least by default.
A NFS article covering a production that used FCP X? Hell must have frozen over and the pigs are flying ;)
I've been using it for years and it's very capable. Widely used in Independent films, commercials, trailers, and docs. It's great to see more areas of the industry opening up to it.
Cool production coverage, thanks.
It happens with the FS7 as well.
