Well said.
I recently released a trailer for my upcoming documentary. It's about Austin-Travis County EMS. It got a very warm reception, and it would seem that I managed to make something with some emotional resonance.
Do you know how many medics asked me questions about gear?
Zero. Literally zero.
It really doesn't matter as long as the story is impactful.
Thanks for this article!
I may have just found the perfect b-cam for my GH4. I'm currently shooting a documentary about Austin-Travis County EMS with GH4, and have been looking for a good b-cam and this may be it!
Look at it this way: you'll be fine either way. This is not a make or break decision. Both are really solid cameras and both have their pros and cons. From reading your post, it's pretty clear you're in love with the C100 so go for it. You described it as "near perfect." Since when is "near perfect" not good enough? Do you think there's a camera out there in this budget range that you could describe as "completely perfect?" I promise you there isn't.
No matter what camera you get, there will always be another camera out there that has stuff you wish yours had. So just pick one and start shooting. Like I said, both are really good cameras. You can't go wrong.
This is such a powerful idea. I can't wait until these come to market. The possibilities are endless (assuming they don't go bust immediately).
This looks great. I'm torn between this and the Defy G2x. The Defy seems similar in most respects but is only $2000.
But the Helix Jr. holds more weight. That won't matter to me now but it'd be nice having the capacity for more weight if I eventually get a bigger camera (or get a gig where I rent a bigger camera).
I'm just not sure which to get.
