Hi Ehab,
I've shot with the GH4 (very nice ergonomics & handling I have to say) for two years but sold it and switched to Sony. (A6300/A7) The reason was that even in normal low light situation (a well lit living room in the evening) the GH4 image quality in the shadows was poor. The GH5 apparently is a bit better, but somehow I prefer larger sensors, APS-C of full frame. Don't expect miracles from the 10 bit either, I never noticed any difference between 8 bit and 10 bit on my GH4. If you like full frame, the Sony A7S II will be a very good choice. Else the A6300/A6500 (APS-C) would be an option too.
Good luck with your choice.
Yep, Samyang has a 2.0 12 mm lens for a number of years now. Perhaps though, this is the fastest (F2.8) 12 mm FULL-frame lens. So the title of this article would just need a small correction.
Yep, VR porn is here to stay and an exciting industry indeed. I didn't know this, but if it's true that the valley now makes as much money as Hollywood, I would say: this thing will probably get bigger every year! (and yes, "size matters")
I have used Abode Premiere CS 6 (Windows 7/8/10) for a few years now, and find it still totally adequate to do everything I want. (I did not switch to Premiere CC, as I do not like subscription based software). Davinci Resolve (now version 12.5) is also getting better and better in terms of video editing. Just as with camera's, getting "the best" video editor software, is not going to make you a better editor however. It's just a tool and some people prefer this or that editor, depending on their personal preferences.
Depending on your requirements (do you want a small portable camera or a big one?), the Sony A6300 or A6500 could be selected. These are APS-C camera's with 4K resolution for video at affordable prices. It will be quite easy to match colors with the FS7, as their picture profiles are quite similar. I've been using the A6300 for nearly two years now and am impressed by it's image quality. For some people shooting in higher temperatures, overheating sometimes does occur though. (A6300)
