Would you be fine with some one taking 30 seconds of your own work without your permission, using it as their own, and just giving you a credit? There are hundreds or artists out there that would love to CREATE a track just for your film. Seek those people out or get the rights to use the tracks.
I always have a small set of screw drivers and allen wrenches. It has saved me or someone else a number of times.
I really enjoyed the story, and twist. With it being one long take, I can only image how many times you may have ran through it to get the timing right. The acting was good, I really enjoyed the main character.
My only criticism is about the lighting. Since it was choreographed, lighting could have been planned so the 3 main areas were slightly lit more interestingly.
Overall still a pretty good short. Keep them coming!
Keep working on it, make it the best film you can make it for now. Better to finish or you will find yourself never finishing anything. Also when its finished put it out there, let other people see it and give you feedback. You've got to make a lot of terrible stuff before you can make good stuff. I still never like anything I make, but I try to make a point to finish it and get it out into to world.
I've gaffed a shotgun mic to a fishpole/broomstick/c-stand/long stick a time or two before. As long as it gets the job done and everyone is safe.
