I live in Denver, CO and attended Colorado Film School. I completed all classes needed for a Directing certificate but one- the final project. This I did on my own. There were several reasons for this 1) I learned as much as I needed. 2) I did not want the school to own the rights and 3) I did not want to enter my final project in film festivals in the "student" category. In 2008 I funded and produced a documentary, "Dharma Road," which was accepted into the NY Asian American Film Festival as Best Work-in-Progress and was nominated for best short doc at the Asians on Film Festival in LA. I am working on my first narrative piece, a short western with three Asian women action heroes and a majority Asian cast.
