Boards Comment – Lighting Plans & Features

Can you explain what egg-crate grids do? Ive seen them used on the new film Spectre and from the cinematography look very effective. Also what sort of light would you use the soft box with? A tungsten 1k?

How would you go about installing a camera in a car, like the film above, with the camera moving with the car.

Boards Comment – Ideal laptops (or desktops) for editing gh4 footage

I would recommend a powerful laptop, if you travel. That way it would save you having to pack down a desktop everytime.

Im not sure where you are based but I would find a local computer shop specialising in custom builds. Tell them your budget and how much you could get for that amount and they will recommend the best specs.

Personally i would learn on Premiere Pro, if your still in Education you will get a discount. Avid is harder to learn on but is recommended for industry standard, though studios use a variety of editing software now.
