I’m sorry, but what in the hell are you talking about? NFS used to actually offer real answers and opinions to the filmmaking community, this article feels like sponsored content written by someone who has absolutely no idea what they’re talking about.
nice.. something to keep in mind though is when shooting in BW, color can actually become incredibly important, using primary colors and black and white color filters can be a key way to control contrast, choosing a red car or a blue car combined with filters can make it either totally stand out or become hidden in the scene, just take note from DP Phedon Papamichael from his work on ‘Nebraska’, just because it’s monochrome, doesn’t mean color doesn’t matter.
That's it??????? Seriously???? Dam that's disappointing.
NFS why would you use this headline when you know George Lucas actually didn't really do anything at all, it was the engineers at Skywalker Sound who did the work!?!? again with these clickbait headlines smh.
Nice article... but it feels like a big piece is missing. A few paragraphs talking about the techniques of Matthew Libatique would have helped give some context to why he made those decisions on this film, and also shown why this film stands alone visually in the comic book movie universe compared to something like the avengers movies where the camera is really moving around with little logical motivation for the story.
You know, this is just annoying. I love NFS. Read it every day. But there seems to be a mix of amazing content, and then stuff like this - clickbait essentially. Why? It doesn't shoot 4K RAW video as the title suggests. And why would we care about stills news anyway? We're filmmakers not photographers. Come on NFS... you're better than this.
