Born in Sri Lanka, bred in Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia, and England, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to state that he is in fact an international nomad. He received a degree in Communications and spent the majority of his twenties as a business consultant in the corporate world.
After handing in his suit and tie, he pursued an acting career, having trained with the Victorian College of the Arts (Melbourne), The Melbourne Actors Studio (Bruce Alexander), The Actor’s Playhouse (Meisner Technique), and 16th Street (Chubbuck Technique).
He debuted with the Flying Bookworm Theatre Company, touring through Victoria as the lead male in productions of Macbeth and Romeo & Juliet. An interest in film and TV sparked the move to London, where he joined the Actors Centre, a professional actors community.
He has just completed Productions with the Fly on the Wall Theatre company playing the part of Briancourt in ‘Teleny’ (England’s first erotic gay novel accredited to Oscar Wilde and his writing peers) at Chapel off Chapel and played the lead part of the Evan with the BustCo Theatre Company in their production of ‘That Awkward Moment’.
He is currently rehearsing with Attic Erratic in their Theatre Production of ‘The City They Burned’ Directed by Danny Delahunty.
Dushan also plays one of the main characters in Rock Bottom Productions upcoming TV Series ‘Sonnigsburg’.
He is in pre-Production with ‘Shuffle’, a Feature Film Directed by Adrian Cabrie (A 2014 Tropfest Finalist), and has been offered a Major role in Channel 31’s six part Series ‘Sonnigsburg’.
