Felipe Bello Navarro
Director of Photography
I’m a cinematographer and a film director. I attended Escuela de Cine de Chile, where I specialized in cinematography. I spent my childhood between Chile and Germany and I’ve lived in Santiago since 2004.
I’ve directed several short films with which I have participated in SANFIC (Santiago International Film Festival), Valdivia Film Festival (FICV) and FESANCOR (Santiago's International Short Film Festival). These include "Fiction" and “2+2=5”. The latter won the National Award for Best Screenplay and Best Actress at the 14th version of FESANCOR (2006).
I was the cinematographer for the feature film "You Think you’re the Prettiest” (Che Sandoval, 2009) and "El Primero de la Familia" (Carlos Leiva, 2014) as well as several shortfilms among which stands out "Apnea" (selected in San Sebastián and La Habana, 2012) by Jeremy Hatcher and "Asunción" (selected in Cannes -Cinéfondation-, 2013) by Camila Luna.
In 2011 I founded Metáfora Films, a production company where I'm responsible for the direction of each project, as well as the cinematography.
