Well that wasn't a fair comparison, since it's comparing a high end 15" Macbook Pro Retina instead of a high end 13" MBPR vs the Surface Book.
Try 15" Dell XPS vs the 15" MBPR instead.
$1500 is actually still a competitive price for a 7" screen that is FullHD and also have SDI. The Ninja Assassin at $1300 is HDMI only, and most of the other screens below $1500 are not even FullHD.
As a focus puller, that extra resolution makes a difference. That being said, I really wish TVLogic has a 6" or 7" screen. Love their screen!
Why not get the GL Optics standard PL Zeiss Contax lens set? Seems to be superior and you can get super speeds, too: http://cinemaglass.com/

Probably involves doing a mini slate motion with your fingers, lol.
I've been using the 702 for a couple of months and one thing that really irks me is that there's not a really easy way to color-calibrate or color-match the 702 (and presumably the 502) to your screen. Adjsuting the brightness and contrast on SMPTE Bar/check field output from camera helps, but there's no way to adjust color, tint, temperature, etc., either.
